Summary: This position is primarily responsible for the assembly and installation of American Van products at the Showroom location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Stages and assembles all parts for customer pick-ups and installations
- Loads customer pick-ups and puts away transfers.
- Moves customer vehicles in/out for installation.
- Uses work instructions to complete installations from start to finish.
- Cleans and inspects all vehicles upon completion of installation.
- Maintains tools and equipment (including but not limited to oiling air rachets/ charging drills and air compressors).
- Maintains warehouse including but not limited to taking out garbage, cleaning warehouse floors, bathrooms, and showroom areas.
- Participates in physical inventory counts as necessary.
- Communicates tooling and hardware needs to Management.
- Other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to competently use hand tools.
- Ability to read work instructions.
- Able to work overtime and weekends.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Able to read standard and metric rulers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manual dexterity
- High school education or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license to move customer vehicles.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; Reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and lift up to 75 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
PPE REQUIREMENTS: In compliance with OSHA standards it has been determined that Safety glasses and footwear are required on the warehouse floor. Additional PPE may be required per specific tasks in the department.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
