Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs technical tasks of limited scope with assistance. Learns to set up electronic, mechanical, optical units to ensure equipment performs to specification.
- Provides technical support of process piping and electro-mechanical systems as related to semiconductor equipment installations
- Work involves isolating and defining unknown conditions and resolving critical problems
- Ability to lay cabling and to perform construction work in accordance with specifications and procedures
- Ability to take physical field measurements and conduct facility verification
- Ability to use measurement tools
- Communicates in a clear, accurate and courteous manner with customers and colleagues
- Projects a positive and professional image of self and WGNSTAR
- Proficiency with common hand tools: adjustable wrenches, drivers, torque wrenches, socket drivers, etc.
- Interest in the semiconductor industry and latest technological advances
- Working in cleanroom experience
- 2-year associates degree in electrical, mechanical, or related field, plus 2-5 years related experience in mechanical/electrical engineering within semiconductor industry
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. Skills Required
- Associate degree (2-year) in electrical, mechanical, or related field plus 2-5 years related mechanical/electrical engineering experience in the semiconductor industry
