The Role

The Insights team is an integral department within LiveScore Group. We are looking for a casino/gaming domain expert to join our wider analytical department and lead the Casino Insights team. As an Insights Manager, you will be responsible for working and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across departments including CRM, Acquisition, Marketing and Product teams, as well as C-Suite level management, focusing on optimising market share, highlighting opportunities and trends, and ultimately leading and driving key projects forward.

This is a senior role and as such you will be a focal member of the Casino leadership team responsible for defining the vision and strategy of our casino vertical across the group. We have an abundance of data to work with, as well as a range of analytical tools & techniques which need to be brought together to provide senior leaders in the business with actionable recommendations that drive business key decisions. As the leader of the team, you will be responsible for managing a team of analysts/specialists as well as prioritising the team’s backlog and ensuring the team’s output meets the demands and standards of the business and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Be the face and trusted advisor for the Casino Insights team and work in collaboration with multiple areas of the business to identify opportunities for LiveScore Casino to grow, gaining buy-in from senior stakeholders and driving forward your recommendations and empowering your team to do the same.
  • Manage a team of analysts and their work backlogs, ensuring the team’s focuses and output match that of the business.
  • Develop and coach your team of analysts to ensure the Casino Insights function continues to improve and support the business in the most optimal way.
  • Leading the Casino insights team to transform data into actionable insights that add commercial value for multiple stakeholders across the business.
  • Monitoring the performance of Casino and the wider business by pro-actively investigating changes in core KPIs, spotting trends, and identifying the reasons behind the changes.
  • Self-initiating projects for yourself and the team to work on to ensure any opportunities highlighted are investigated upon and shared with the wider business.
  • Understanding the needs of the business and its stakeholders, especially within the Marketing and Casino areas, to ensure analytical needs are met and challenged.
  • Linking together and building a clear and concise narrative on the analytical findings by considering new and alternative perspectives to engage stakeholders and present findings confidently and coherently, to influence decisions and drive change across the business.
  • Be a key member of the Casino Leadership team, helping to shape the Casino strategy and vision.
  • To keep open and continuous communications with the wider Insights department to ensure priorities are aligned and the work of the wider department is fully understood.
  • Regularly monitoring LiveScore’s core KPIs, industry changes, and competitor innovations, and pro-actively acting upon any changes that may be of commercial value or interest to the business.
  • Key coordinator for Casino data, ensuring data understanding across analytical teams, reconciliation, as well as meeting & addressing new requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience within the Casino industry.
  • Proven experience leading and managing analytical department.
  • Commercially minded with excellent analytical and numerical capabilities.
  • Advanced commercial experience and self-sufficient in writing re-useable solutions in SQL or Google BigQuery. Experience using other languages such as Python, or R preferred, but not essential.
  • Previous experience leading and driving large-scale projects across Casino and marketing departments.
  • Ability to turn complex concepts and data into actionable recommendations.
  • Self-motivated with the desire to find and solve business problems and opportunities, as well as knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Capacity to develop and coach your direct reports in a fast-changing work environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible with an ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at one time, working autonomously in a timely manner, delivering projects to the highest standard.
  • Proficiency to communicate confidently and coherently, including verbal and written presentation skills, with experience of presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Firm believer in teamwork & collaboration.
  • Ability to routinely anticipate questions that may come from stakeholders off the back of analysis that is produced by the team or from identifying performance trends.
