Insights Manager – Market Intelligence, Royal Canin US
Join Royal Canin’s Market Intelligence team as an Insights Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pet nutrition through consumer and market research. In this unique position, you’ll be the primary owner of research initiatives that directly impact product innovation, brand equity, and business strategy across Royal Canin US. Leveraging both primary and secondary research methods, you’ll design and execute surveys, focus groups, and shopper insights projects to answer critical business questions. Collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders—from pet owners and veterinarians to nutritional experts—you’ll transform complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.

What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Marketing Research a plus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in consumer research with expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods; 5+ years in consumer/shopper insights or market research roles preferred
- Proven ability to design, execute, and analyze research projects including survey programming, data cleaning, and reporting
- Solid comfort level with quantitative survey data and basic statistics. This role is more hands-on with project execution than many manufacturer Insights roles, and a successful candidate will need to not only manage vendors but also actively execute projects.
- Well-developed organization and project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with experience influencing without direct authority and resolving conflicts
- Excellent project management skills; organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple initiatives
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Effective communicator, able to present research findings to non-research stakeholders
- Functional knowledge of market sales data (scan/consumption and household panel)
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Partner with Demand leaders across Royal Canin US to identify information gaps and develop learning plans aligned with business objectives
- Plan and execute primary research on brand positioning, product performance, pricing, innovation, packaging, expert recommendations, and brand communication
- Serve as an internal consultant by leveraging existing knowledge and acting as a subject matter expert
- Translate complex insights into clear, compelling learnings and evangelize them across the organization
- Monitor research spend against the annual budget to ensure efficient use of resources
- Manage relationships with research agency partners, fostering collaboration aligned with Mars’ Five Principles to maximize business value
- Stay current on Mars Consumer Market Insights (CMI) best practices, emerging research solutions, and industry trends to bring innovative approaches to Royal Canin
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Sales, R&D, Finance, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Global RC to share insights and drive efficiency
