Job Description

  • Full time, fixed term (24 months) position at HEW Level 7.
  • Parramatta South Campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • $107,053 – $115,469 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

Translate complex datasets into clear insights, reporting and recommendations that support University decision-making.

The Opportunity
You will deliver data-driven insights, analytics and reporting that support operational and strategic decision-making across the University. Working within the Portfolio Management Office, you will partner with stakeholder portfolios to understand key performance indicators, business needs and reporting priorities.

Analyse complex datasets from multiple sources, applying advanced analytical techniques including segmentation and cohort analysis to identify trends, performance drivers and opportunities for improvement. You will translate business requirements into meaningful insights, visualisations and evidence-based recommendations that support planning and performance outcomes.

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and visualisations that communicate insights clearly to diverse stakeholders. You will extract, transform and validate data from enterprise systems and platforms, support data integrity and governance practices, and contribute to continuous improvement in reporting frameworks, data accessibility, automation and analytical capability.

  • Develop reports, dashboards and visualisations aligned to stakeholder and business needs.
  • Extract, transform and validate data while maintaining high standards of quality and integrity.
  • Build effective relationships across Faculties, Schools and Divisions to translate needs into analytical solutions.
  • Contribute to improvements in data services, reporting frameworks and analytical tools.

About You

  • Relevant qualification and/or equivalent professional administration experience and training in a large and complex organisation.
  • High level analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to think laterally and exercise sound judgement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, problem solving, reporting and translating business requirements into insights.
  • Experience in data extraction, manipulation and reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Alteryx.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, integrity and governance practices, with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
