JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

What you will do:

  • Web Graphic, Social Media & Visual Design
    • Assist in designing digital assets for web banners and social media posts (static + motion).
    • Support the creation of key visuals, layouts, typography, icons, and simple illustrations that align with brand guidelines.
    • Help adapt/cutdown designs into multiple sizes and placements (IG feed/story, TikTok/Reels covers, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • HTML5 Banner Creation (Rich Media)
    • Support the build of HTML5 banners using HTML/CSS/JS (and basic animation libraries like GSAP where needed).
    • Help with resizing, versioning, and QA across common specs (e.g., 300×250, 300×600, 320×480, etc.).
    • Optimize assets for performance (file size, image compression, font loading) and ensure cross-browser consistency.
  • Flashtalking Knowledge (Ad Serving & QA)
    • Learn and assist with Flashtalking workflows: uploading creatives, setting clicktags, adding backup images, and handling basic troubleshooting.
    • Support ad QA: verifying click-throughs, trackers, dynamic elements, loading behavior, and ensuring creative meets platform requirements.
    • Assist with simple DCO/dynamic variations (e.g., text/image swaps, multiple offers/frames) when required.
  • Animation & 3D Graphics
    • Use animation and 3D tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects)to support multimedia projects.
    • Experiment with generative design tools to create dynamic visual content.
  • Video Editing
    • Support video production tasks such as trimming, adding transitions, and basic effects.
    • Assist in creating short promotional or educational videos for digital and social.
  • Web Technologies
    • Apply basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS (and intro JavaScript) to assist in web-related design tasks.
    • Learn how multimedia elements are integrated into websites, ad platforms, and digital placements.
  • AI Knowledge
    • Use AI-powered tools (e.g., Midjourney, Genspark, ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion) to support AI projects and creative exploration.
    • Experiment with AI tools to create dynamic elements and rapid visual iterations.
  • Content Ideation
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for multimedia content.
    • Help develop storyboards, social post concepts, and visual directions for campaigns.
  • Learning & Development
    • Receive mentorship and training in web technologies, multimedia tools, and creative production workflows.
    • Stay updated with design trends, social formats, and emerging technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Creative Multimedia, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in graphic design, web design, 2D animation and video editing preferably in digital media or advertising.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe AfterEffects, Figma, HTML5, AI tools
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge to translate request to design.

  • Familiarity with Astro’s digital ecosystem or Malaysian media landscape is a plus.
