The primary function of the Inside Sales Trainee (IST) is to provide route coverage for the Inside Sales team and backup coverage for the Customer Support team. The IST must be flexible and able to move between multiple responsibilities throughout the day.

This role will support sales initiatives and provide route coverage for Inside Sales Managers during vacations, illnesses, injuries, or special REACH projects as needed. The Inside Sales Trainee will work with management to maintain customer relationships and coordinate between sales and field personnel (ASM/DSM) for all Inside Sales (“Tel Sell”) accounts.

In addition, the IST will support inbound calls handled by the Customer Support team, including calls from ASMs and customers. Responsibilities will include providing override codes to ASMs, processing invoices and delivery requests for customers, and facilitating the new account setup process for customers who want to start service.

Job Description

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Manage all Red Bull products and accounts by fully completing all tasks on the assigned route.

Resolve issues, maintain accurate call records, and follow up on orders as necessary.

Assess current and ongoing product and point-of-sale (POS) needs to increase sales and enhance brand visibility.

Use all Red Bull Distribution Company (RBDC) sales tools and communicate execution activities clearly to Account Sales Managers (ASMs).

Perform other duties as assigned.

EXECUTION

Train with Inside Sales Managers and Customer Service Representatives as needed.

Cover Inside Sales Manager and Customer Service Representative roles when required.

Develop and follow a plan to complete all daily account calls, tracking results and identifying targets for the next calls.

While covering a route, meet daily and monthly KPI targets, including call frequency and sales volume goals.

Evaluate and communicate all Red Bull initiatives, such as new product launches and VIP pricing programs.

Complete various outbound REACH projects as assigned, following provided scripts, completing 100% of assigned calls, and maintaining a positive, results-focused attitude.

Build and protect the Red Bull brand.

Bring energy and a “can-do” attitude every day.

BUILDING SUCCESS

Collaborate with members of RBDC distribution teams to develop and implement programs.

Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices.

Serve as a key contributor and leader among peers.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and field representatives.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Provide coverage for the Customer Service team.

Collaborate with the Collections and Master Data teams to resolve ASM and customer-related inquiries (including override codes, credit requests/reactivations, and customer invoice and service requests).

Follow up on new account requests with Office Administrators, contacting prospective customers to close out outstanding tickets.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening

Strong mathematical skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and contracts

Exceptional time management and organizational abilities

Excellent overall computer skills and familiarity with a variety of software programs

Willingness to take a hands-on approach to personal development

Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities throughout the day

Prior sales experience preferred; inside sales experience is a plus

Additional language skills are an advantage

 

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate by talking and hearing

Frequently required to walk and sit

Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $41,600 - 62,400 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
