Inside Sales Specialist
Position Overview
Our client, a growing food manufacturing company, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Inside Sales Specialist to support high-volume, transactional sales efforts. This role is centered on efficiently processing orders, managing inbound inquiries, and converting opportunities through a streamlined sales approach. The ideal candidate is highly responsive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound sales activity (calls, emails, order processing)
- Accurately enter, process, and track customer orders in internal systems
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing product information, pricing, and availability
- Support a transactional sales cycle with a focus on speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain and update customer records and sales activity within CRM systems
- Coordinate with operations, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Assist with quoting, order follow-ups, and issue resolution
- Meet or exceed individual activity and performance metrics
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of inside sales, customer service, or order management experience
- Experience in a high-volume, transactional sales or support environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order entry and processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office or similar tools
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
Preferred Attributes
- Background in food manufacturing, CPG, or related industries
- Experience supporting sales teams or handling order-to-cash processes
- Comfortable working with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency
