As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Inside Sales Specialist. Responsible for growing and winning new customers in a defined market space. Generates sales of all QuidelOrtho products within assigned geographic territory. Makes outbound sales calls to generate incremental revenue potential for QuidelOrtho products. Responsible for campaign-based sales targets, which includes prospecting new accounts and growing the business within existing accounts. Manages assigned sales region in an effective and efficient manner. Requires clear communication and documentation of calls into existing database program. This is a remote based position in the US.

  • Grows existing accounts and develops new accounts within assigned region to meet sales and profitability goals
  • Identifies the main contact / decision maker to establish relationships and grows the business
  • Establishes a routine cadence of contact with the decision makers and QuidelOrtho sales account managers
  • Delivers effective sales presentations and strong persuasive skills via outbound telephone/video contact
  • Implements marketing and other strategic campaigns to customer base
  • Documents all calls and updates as required in CRM program
  • Identifies and develops working roster of distributors willing to partner and gain further market share Establishes a routine cadence of contact with distributor and channel partners
  • Communicates sales results & territory intelligence with Inside Sales Team during meetings. (Customer information, market events, changes that effect business, projects, etc.)
  • Provides weekly reporting on all sales activity (wins, estimated revenue, opportunities in sampler/correlation, etc.
  • Communicates with Technical Support if additional technical assistance is needed
  • Understands specific departmental goals and their relationships to organizational goals and contributes toward their achievement

Required:

  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

  • Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours to complete projects
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • 2 years sales or tele-sales experience
  • 1 year of life sciences, medical, or In Vitro diagnostic testing experience

Internal Partners:

  • Field Sales: Provides thorough and timely communication to sales leadership and internal departments regarding field issues, products and competition; offers suggestions and solutions. Works with other members of Commercial team to maximize revenue and profitability in targeted customers. Demonstrates corporate values.
  • QuidelOrtho Management: Interacts with Sales Leadership, Specialty Sales, Sales Administration, and Distribution to maximize achievement of corporate goals, and interacts with other aspects of the organization as required (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Customer Service, etc.)

External Partners:

  • Customers: Acts as brand ambassador to targeted customers.
  • Distribution Partners: Coordinates and drives efforts of distribution to achieve QuidelOrtho goals where required in targeted systems.

Typical office environment. Must have the discipline, organization skills and self-motivation to work autonomously in a home office environment. No strenuous physical activity. 95% of time on the phone/video conference, sitting, and/or typing. 5% of time in meetings. Some travel may be required.

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $81,000 and is eligible for incentive compensation. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
