Position Summary
Daily role includes accurate and timely processing of incoming orders via phone, fax, email and walk-in customers; interacting with customers to ensure orders are properly submitted, accurately input and ensures that acknowledgements are appropriately sent out. The Inside Sales Representative is the ‘face of Aero’ to many customers and must be well-versed in all Aero Products.

Essential Functions

· Fields incoming customer phone calls

· Reviews and processes incoming customer orders via phone fax and email

· Accurately inputs customer orders into the computer system, ensuring that customer’s expectations regarding price, lead-time, shipping, etc. are understood and adequately met. In the event a customer’s expectations cannot be met, Inside Sales is responsible for contacting and communicating any discrepancies

· Maintains regular training to ensure adequate knowledge of all Aero product offerings

· Supports Outside Sales as requested

· Responsible for achieving order entry accuracy goals set by Management

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensures all customer requests are processed in a timely-manner; involves appropriate personnel to accommodate ‘special requests’ when necessary.

· Interacts with Manufacturing, Materials, Scheduling, Shipping, IT, etc. as needed to communicate customers’ needs clearly and effectively

· Participates in regular promotional/proactive sales programs to attain sales goals set by Management

· Communicates with Inside Sales Manager and Customer Service Manager to ensure system and published price lists, parts lists, and configurator are up-to-date and accurate.

· Works as needed with Management to eliminate waste and ensure the most effective operation of Inside Sales activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) 
  • Ability to accurately enter data via computer
  • Proficiency with computers, software systems, and Microsoft Office suite 
  • Must have strong time management, including the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Must maintain a positive attitude with customers at all times; must also maintain positive, professional attitude with internal personnel, while constructively communicating suggestions for change or improvement of processes
  • Strong customer-orientation is a must
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to company values
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to support department goals

Highly Preferred

  • Two years customer service experience 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production based organization
  • Experience working in a small or mid-sized company 
  • Experience with MRP systems
  • Associate's degree in a technical or business discipline 

Travel
Travel is typically 5% or less.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but may serve as a coach, trainer, and mentor for other employees in the department.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
