JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for selling IDEXX products and services to customers and prospects through multiple channels including voice, fax, email, web and chat. Partner with other Inside Sales professionals and teams to leverage the strengths of the IDEXX portfolio, promotional offerings and a targeted sales approach to drive profitable revenue and customer satisfaction. Identify and generate demand among customers while maintaining effective customer relationships over time.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prioritize and make calls to prospects and existing customers
- Maintain contact database with accurate profiles, notes and opportunity information.
- Successfully complete IDEXX training on our markets, our products and selling skills.
- Coordinate sales opportunities that span multiple IDEXX products involving multiple IDEXX sales representatives.
- Coordinate efforts with field sales team to retain, acquire and grow account base.
- Ensures complete and timely information about customer accounts is available to decision makers to yield effective business strategies and outcomes.
- May attend industry shows in territory as necessary.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- High comfort with both outbound and inbound sales activity, combining account strategy with attention to detail.
- Strong communications skills including writing, listening and questioning.
- Sales ability / persuasiveness.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport quickly, build and maintain relationships.
