This position is part of the APAC Commercial Team located in Japan and will be remote. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debate, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting IDT products and solutions primarily through phone and email-based sales activities.
When required, the role also involves face-to-face interactions with external customers to support business needs.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Generate and qualify sales opportunities through phone, email, and along with face‑to‑face interactions(approximately 20%), in close collaboration with field sales and channel partners.
Research and engage prospective and existing customers to understand needs and support appropriate solution positioning.
Accurately manages customer and opportunity information in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), executes commercial action through data driven approach including analysis from Power BI, and subsequently handover qualified leads to sales teams, performs other duties as assigned.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related life science field.
Experience in the life science industry, preferably in customer-facing, inside sales, or sales‑support role.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team; proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Driver's license
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Using commercial tools including Salesforce, Power BI
