PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prioritize and make calls to prospects and existing customers
- Maintain contact database with accurate profiles, notes and opportunity information.
- Successfully complete IDEXX training on our markets, our products and selling skills.
- Coordinate sales opportunities that span multiple IDEXX products involving multiple IDEXX sales representatives.
- Coordinate efforts with field sales team to retain, acquire and grow account base.
- Ensures complete and timely information about customer accounts is available to decision makers to yield effective business strategies and outcomes.
- May attend industry shows in territory as necessary.
Specific to VetSoft:

Executes campaigns developed by VetSoft Marketing and VetSoft Sales.

Contacts prospective customers to identify potential needs and product fit for IDEXX PIMS solutions.

Create and log opportunities and activities in VetSoft CRM.

Nurture early-stage opportunities.

Helps qualify and assess account needs.

Identifies and documents account insights and needs and effectively delivers those insights to the sales team.

Handoff opportunities to the appropriate VSC.

Achieves monthly pipeline generation goals while qualifying inbound opportunities.

Positively promotes and represents the IDEXX brand on a global basis.

Most frequent contacts with National Software Sales Managers, VSAs, VSSSs, ASLs.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- High comfort with both outbound and inbound sales activity, combining account strategy with attention to detail.
- Strong communications skills including writing, listening and questioning.
- Sales ability / persuasiveness.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport quickly, build and maintain relationships.
- Capability to absorb and articulate technical information.
- Highly motivated and goal oriented.
- Strong organizational skills, especially in a multi-tasking environment.
- Effective time management skills to ensure desired business outcomes
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Extensive sitting or standing, phone and computer use.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends
- Overtime may be required.
- Some travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- General office environment.
- Normal office noise level, with occasional moderate noise.
LEVELING GUIDE:
- Has developed specialized skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
- Work typically involves technical skills and/or administrative duties within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
- Completes work with limited degree of supervision.

Independently prospects across Vet. Soft. Cloud PIMS portfolio.

Runs high profile campaigns or own qualification of larger / more complex deals.
