Position Purpose:  

This position is responsible for generating sales and expanding market presence in an assigned territory through inbound and outbound sales calls and lead generation. 

  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Identify opportunities for both print and digital products through the use of phone, email, and desktop tools. 

  • Identify and follow up on leads, establish new customer relationships and build on existing ones to ensure sales to new markets and repeat business. 

  • Participate in development of Sales strategy, samplers, promotions and proposal writing. 

  • Understand subscription sales and generate new subscription sales and renewals. 

  • Close (and manage) sales opportunities from start to finish. 

  • Support and attend conferences and exhibits as requested. 

  • Work with Sales Reps on assigned special projects as requested. 

  • Correspond with customers; gather and submit feedback from sales reps and/or customers on products, customer service, fulfillment and other issues. 

  • Develop introduction letters and create prospecting packages 

  

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredBA/BS degree preferred. 

  • Proven track record of Inside Sales that includes experience with the K – 12 school market and subscription sales. 

  • Must be customer service oriented. 

  • Highly refined listening skills, excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management software programs 

  • Strong research capability and familiarity with all available internet and database tools. 

  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. 

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000

*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
