The Inside Sales Manager oversees the Project Leader, Sales Coordinator, Order Writing teams, and CPQ (Configure Price Quote) system administration. This role ensures customer requirements are accurately interpreted and converted into clear, buildable documentation for quoting and order processing while driving standardization, process improvements, and team development. The position requires cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Production, and vendors to support quoting accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll do

  • Lead and develop the Project Leader, Sales Coordinator, and Order Writing teams
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders to maintain alignment on goals, strategies, and performance expectations
  • Lead restructuring of teams to support Outside Sales, Production, and Customers
  • Routinely handle customer escalations, internal escalations, vendor-related technical or pricing issues and change order escalations
  • Provide direction, coaching, and performance reviews for departmental team members
  • Monitor and manage team performance against productivity targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of customer jobs—tracking progress, reviewing schedules, escalating obstacles, and ensuring on‑time delivery from quote and bid deadlines through drawing review and production
  • Develop and ensure training for current and new team members
  • Manage customer opportunities from quote stage to customer acceptance
  • Oversee CPQ tool administration, configuration governance, enhancement requests, and implementation
  • Collaborate closely with customers, Outside Sales, Engineering, and Production to determine project feasibility and match customer requirements
  • Ensure customer requests and quotation documents meet Terex, supplier, ANSI, and industry standards to determine feasibility and safety of designs
  • Support standardization and technological improvement projects across quoting and order workflows
  • Provide Project Leaders, Sales Coordinators and Order Writers direction to ensure clear, buildable documentation for accurate, cost‑effective, and timely quotations, written orders and drawings
  • Ensure team is leading customer first article inspections (FAI) and managing change orders as required
  • Operate and oversee file management systems for storage and retrieval of past designs, job records, and cost information
  • Assist the team in the design, specification, and maintenance of standard platforms and product options
  • Support team in communication with vendors to specify components that ensure quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
  • Keep up to date on product developments and communicate changes to appropriate team members
  • Advocate for Terex while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sales support, project leadership, order management, or technical sales roles
  • Experience supervising or leading teams
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with CPQ (Oracle), CRM (SFDC), and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Experience working with medium chassis applications and/or the heavy equipment industry
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong business acumen
  • Previous experience developing sales proposals or technical quotations
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment
  • Manage multiple project priorities and deadlines

The compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000 USD annual salary. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
