Job Summary:

As an Inside Sales Engineer for Process Systems and Solutions (PSS), you will play a key role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring that customer needs are met with tailored technical solutions. Leveraging your engineering expertise, you will assist customers in selecting and sizing the appropriate control system solutions, while remaining adaptable to changing requirements. You will act as the main technical point of contact, assisting customers with product selection and offering alternative solutions when needed, particularly in situations involving lead time challenges. This role requires close collaboration with account managers to develop and grow business within a designated territory, ensuring timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize customer input and/or specifications to help in the selection of applicable products
  • Develop solutions to meet customer needs
  • Develop, deliver and follow up on accurate customer quotes in a timely manner
  • Support the delivery of positive customer outcomes throughout the quoting and fulfillment process
  • Support the outside sales team in meeting customer expectations
  • Work with customers to determine sizing and selection of control systems and reliability solutions

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will possess a four-year engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Will have working knowledge of control systems, reliability and the relevant industries
  • Will have the ability to develop and deliver solutions based on an understanding of the technical and business challenges of our market
  • Will possess negotiation skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Must exhibit significant ability to work flexibly and change work plans with little notice
  • Must be a team player able to work closely with Account Managers and other employees
