WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Magnifi by TIFIN is changing the way consumers shop for investments by bringing trusted data, insights, and a world of investment opportunities right to their fingertips. Magnifi’s free search tool and AI-powered personal investing assistant enable individual investors with varying degrees of investment experience and know-how with investment intelligence that, up to now, has only been offered to professional financial advisors. Magnifi also provides, free, no commission and no-order flow trading of stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds for investors seeking to easily put their insights to work. In a world where every individual is unique, TIFIN enables Magnifi customers to gain critical investment intelligence and recommendations that match their distinct investment needs, risk levels, goals, and personal interests.

This is a remote contract role for an Inside Sales Representative at Magnifi, reporting to the Vice President of Operations, Sales and Support. In this role, you will be responsible for making outbound sales calls and emails to current customers to cross sell and upsell more products to them. These are established customers who have already purchased at least one product from us. Your main goal will be to foster relationships and close sales over the phone and email. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for sales to join a dynamic team and a desire to learn more about investment research publications. Compensation for this position is strictly commission-based: the more you sell, the more you make.

THE ROLE:

  • Develop long term relationships with customers to better position yourself to suggest appropriate products to them.
  • Make sales calls – mostly to current and previous buyers – to generate product sales.. 
  • Understand customer priorities and position the various Magnifi publications to meet those needs either bundled or stand-alone.
  • Track and report your sales numbers on a daily basis.
  • Work in tandem with customer service to resolve customer issues and find opportunities to turn complaints into sales.
  • Meet with the sales team and leadership at least once weekly to discuss new campaigns and to provide updates and feedback.

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • Successful product sales experience working directly with customers
  • Experience working in a start-up and/or small, fast-paced environments with little structure
  • Demonstrated ability to understand sales barriers and overcome objections to close sales 
  • Demonstrated success in being to understand customer needs and objectives and developing product configuration solutions to meet those needs
  • Demonstrated track record of breaking down barriers via cold-calling and email marketing
  • Financial services, fintech and/or technical industry experience strongly preferred. 
  • An understanding of investing and how investment research products work, or a strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in our products and customers

The position is not anticipated to require travel.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGE:

This is a contract position not eligible for health benefits with a compensation package based on commissions only. Commissions are paid monthly and amount to 20% of what you make and are billed in the same month. Actual pay will be variable based on your sales and other job-related factors permitted by law.
