The Life Science Chemical Analysis department is a multifaceted and hard-working sales team with an exciting opportunity where we are searching for an upbeat and committed candidate to help us grow our multi-billion-dollar business and outpace market growth.

As our new Inside Sales, you will have the responsibility for selling Agilent Technologies products, solutions to our valued customers across Chromatography (LC, GC, GC/MS, HPLC) and Spectroscopy (Atomic and Molecular). This includes consumables for the mentioned equipment in a defined territory primarily through inbound and outbound sales activities via telephone, email and other digital methods. The position will be based in our Cheadle Agilent Office (hybrid model).
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Representing the company to the customers in all sales-oriented activities.

Selling company consumable products to end-user users in assigned territories, through multichannel inbound and outbound sales activities (phone, web chat, e-mail). Sales activities require technical knowledge of products and applications.

Focus on acquiring new customers, growing our wallet-share as well as retaining and growing an existing installed base of customers. These activities include quotations generation as well as all administrative tasks related to our internal systems.

Responsible for closing the sales on Consumables business for Chemistries and Supplies solutions.

You will act independently but will also support a Field Sales team. Accountable to achieve team and individual sales quota.

Customer focus and results oriented person with excellent organizational skills.

For this position you will cover the UK market and will have individual and team quota.
Job Posting Qualifications
-
University Degree within Biological/Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Analytical chemistry or similar)
-
First experience in/ knowledge of analytical techniques such as Chromatography (LC, GC, HPLC etc.) and /or Spectroscopy in a similar position or as an end user.

First sales experience or Lab end user with sales skills willing to develop a career.
-
Professional English level, being fluent in other languages will be a plus.
Apart from these more technical skills, you should also have:

Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and listening with the ability to build relationships via the telephone.

The ability to understand customer requirements and balance customer expectations with Agilent's business needs.

Excellent time-management skills as well as being able to work under pressure.

Cooperative and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Proactive with a "can-do" demeanor and an instinct to deliver the highest levels of customer service.

Comfortable with digital tools (webchat, e-mails, social media, teleconferencing etc.)
