JOB TITLE: Inside Sales & Business Development Representative

JOB SUMMARY
The Sales and Business Development Representative is responsible for developing new sales opportunities while supporting and growing existing customer and industry relationships. This role will focus on identifying new avenues for both inside and outside sales, building relationships with distributors and industry partners, and assisting with initiatives that support overall sales and revenue growth. This position will report directly to the COO and work closely with the Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams to support company goals and customer needs.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in sales or business development related role 
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 25% per month for customer visits, trade shows, industry events, and other business-related activities.
  • Valid drivers license 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. 
  • Passionate about networking, building new relationships, overcoming objections, and closing business
  • Self-motivated with the ability to identify new sales opportunities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Experience working with CRM, ERP, or other sales/order management systems preferred.
  • Firearms industry experience or knowledge preferred but not required.

CORE DUTIES

  • Support and coordinate inside and outside sales efforts to drive new and existing business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, sales representatives, and key customer decision-makers.
  • Build and maintain a book of business through consistent communication, follow-up, and relationship development.
  • Manage assigned sales opportunities from initial contact through closing, including follow-up, negotiation, and coordination of customer needs.
  • Research the latest trends in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand
    business
  • Identify opportunities to grow business within existing accounts through new products, programs, promotions, and other sales opportunities.
  • Research market and industry activity to identify potential customers, partnerships, and new opportunities for business growth.
  • Coordinate and participate in customer visits, dealer events, trade shows, industry events, and other sales activities.
  • Present products, programs, pricing, and sales opportunities to prospective and existing customers.
  • Identify potential partnership and business development opportunities and assist with execution from initial outreach through completion.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Product Development, and other internal teams to support customer needs and sales initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Diamondback products, programs, pricing, customers, and applicable sales policies.
  • Maintain an understanding of key customers, their businesses, product needs, and purchasing activity.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of customer communications, sales activity, opportunities, and follow-up.
  • Provide regular updates to the COO regarding sales activity, opportunities, customer feedback, and potential areas for growth.
  • Other duties as assigned 

HOURS

  • 1st shift position
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.? Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
