Summary
The Inside Sales Associate is an in-office role responsible for driving revenue growth by proactively managing assigned territory, generating new business opportunities, and strengthening existing customer relationships. This position operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and requires a self-starter who takes initiative and consistently delivers results.
Essential Duties
- Proactively generate sales through outbound calls, email outreach, and inbound lead follow-up within the assigned territory.
- Convert quotations to orders, promote current programs, and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities aligned with territory initiatives.
- Maintain accurate activity tracking and performance reporting; provide regular updates on key sales metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with field sales and internal teams to close opportunities and ensure post-sale satisfaction.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and pricing pressures to respond strategically.

- Decision making, problem resolution and creative thinking.
- Salesforce.com and JD Edwards are a plus.
- Proficient level of computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
Education/Training
- High School Diploma
- Prior experience in the lighting field a plus
Physical/Environmental
- Sitting for extended periods of time, completing tasks using a computer and other office equipment.
- Position requires frequent talking, hearing, and vision with occasional standing, walking, and reaching.
- May require lifting to 10 lbs.
- Job position responsibilities are performed in a business office environment with computers, printers and phones.
