Location: We are recruiting for an Apprentice to join our Inside Sales team at our offices here in Pencoed, Bridgend.

Your Future Team:

As a part of the Inside Sales team, you will become and integral part to the commercial operation here at ROCKWOOL UK. With a supportive team that have an excellent track record of developing and nurturing talent, this is the perfect opportunity for an individual to start a career within a sales and commercial environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the ROCKWOOL Commercial, Specification, HVAC, Fire and Merchant teams
  • Effectively managing the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, project support forms, technical leads and self-generated project opportunities to identify sales opportunities
  • Making planned and non-planned phone calls to warm leads, cold leads, prospective customers and the wider ROCKWOOL team to support the sales effort
  • Accurately quoting and then following up with allocated Merchant accounts on your area
  • Building relationships with your allocated accounts to drive further business
  • Providing Area Sales Managers and Project Specification Managers with quality, qualified data to win business
  • Reporting via the CRM system to the business in both a planned and reactive manner when required
  • Distributing weekly project leads from builder’s conference etc to the key members of the business
  • Be a key CRM operator and user.

What you bring:

  • 5 GCSE’s grade C or higher (including Maths & English)
  • Enthusiastic and energetic approach to work
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Competent utilising Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • Ability to commute to the office daily
  • Willingness to learn and develop
