Reporting to the Head of Process Development & Scale-up, the Innovation Process Engineer will play a key role in improving Reju's existing recycling technologies while shaping the next generation of process solutions. This position combines hands-on process optimization at the Frankfurt demonstration plant with the development of future process concepts in collaboration with leading technology partners, engineering companies, and research institutions.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Become a technical expert in Reju's current recycling processes through hands-on work at the Frankfurt demonstration plant, identifying and implementing opportunities for process optimization, improved operability, and increased efficiency.
- Lead and support development projects aimed at transforming key batch operations into continuous industrial processes, with particular focus on extraction, crystallization, precipitation, solid-liquid separation, and related unit operations.
- Collaborate with external partners, technology providers, universities, and engineering companies to evaluate, test, and scale innovative process technologies for future commercial plants.
- Design, execute, and analyze laboratory, pilot, and demonstration-scale trials, translating results into process improvements and technology development roadmaps.
- Support technology scale-up activities by developing process concepts, mass and energy balances, engineering data packages, and technical recommendations for future facilities.
Your profile:
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in process development, process engineering, pilot plant operation, scale-up, or technology development; experience with solid-liquid systems, crystallization, extraction, precipitation, or polymer-related processes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of chemical process design and scale-up principles, with the ability to bridge laboratory findings and industrial implementation.
- Demonstrated experience working with external partners, research organizations, engineering contractors, or equipment suppliers.
- Fluent English is mandatory; German is considered a strong advantage.
