Job Purpose
At House of Tequila, innovation means making our brands stronger, more relevant, and more desirable: not only by creating new products, but by continuously improving what we already offer.
As Brand Innovation Manager, you'll drive innovation projects that connect consumer insights, brand strategy and product experience. You will translate marketing and consumer understanding into tangible initiatives (limited editions, formats, packs, renovations and occasional new liquids) that strengthen our tequila and mezcal portfolio.
This role blends strategic brand thinking with operational delivery: from identifying opportunities and shaping briefs, to leading cross-functional teams through concept development, feasibility and launch. You'll work closely with Brand, R&D, Packaging, Operations and the Global Innovation Hub to future-proof our brands.
Responsibilities
A. Build Brand-Led Innovation Roadmaps
- Identify brand and category growth opportunities through consumer insights, trend analysis and competitive mapping.
- Define innovation priorities and renovation opportunities in line with brand strategy, positioning and portfolio guardrails
- Balance creativity, feasibility and profitability to ensure each project creates brand and business value
B. Lead End-To-End Development
- Translate insights into actionable innovation briefs for limited editions, new products, renovations or format expansions
- Manage cross-functional project teams (R&D, Operations, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Design) from concept to launch
- Ensure every initiative lands with quality, on time and within budget
C. Strengthen our Product & Packaging Experience
- Drive Packaging and Product renovations that enhance quality, sustainability and desirability
- Lead design-to-cost or format evolution projects (e.g. new sizes, multipacks etc) that support recruitment and premium cues
- Brief and manage design agencies/partners to ensure coherence between pack design, brand identity and consumer experiencee
D. Insights & Trend Foresight
- Track category, consumer, and packaging trends to identify opportunities for renovation or incremental innovation.
- Produce quarterly “Innovation Pulse” reports summarizing insights, market learnings, and optimization opportunities.
E. Collaborate & Influence
- Partner with Comms&Content and advocacy teams to embed innovation stories into brand communications and education
- Build strong internal networks across Marketing, Operations and Global Innovation Hub to share learnings and best practices
Requirements
University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Design, or related field.
Minimum 6-7 years experience in FMCG or Spirits, ideally in Marketing or brand-side innovation
Strong experience working with creative and design agencies.
English and Spanish are a must.
Competencies
Strategy portfolio management - experience in developing global portfolio and guide innovation teams with actionable brand strategies and portfolio guidelines, including packaging.
