Injury Management Advisor

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Injury Management Advisor to join our team, with a strong focus on early intervention, sustainable return-to-work outcomes, and building trust across the organisation.
This role manages the complete injury management process – from immediate incident response to long-term claims management – ensuring compliance, collaboration, and best practice at every step.
What You’ll Be Doing
Act as the first point of contact for all work-related injuries across the business.
Conduct immediate needs assessments and implement early intervention strategies to minimise escalation and lost time.
Manage the end-to-end injury lifecycle, including recovery and return-to-work planning.
Oversee WorkCover claims, liaise with insurers, and ensure compliance with legislation.
Monitor trends and provide reports to identify risks and recommend preventative strategies.
Build trusted relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders to support recovery and wellbeing.
Coach leaders to strengthen early reporting and injury prevention practices.
What You’ll Bring
Relevant qualification in Occupational Rehabilitation, Allied Health (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy), Nursing, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in workplace injury management, preferably in healthcare or high-risk settings.
Strong knowledge of Victorian WorkCover legislation and compliance.
Proven ability to deliver early intervention strategies and successful return-to-work outcomes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex cases effectively.
A solution-focused approach that balances employee wellbeing and organisational priorities.

Cabrini is owned and operated by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus who came to Australia in 1948 to take over the management of a 45-bed community hospital named St Benedict’s.
