As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for achieving production targets while ensuring strict compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and delivery standards. You will lead production operations, manage resources and teams, and ensure stable, efficient, and safe manufacturing processes aligned with Clarios values.

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)
  • Ensure daily production objectives are met in terms of safety, quality, volume, and delivery time.
  • Manage and administer production operations, including manpower, materials, equipment, and processes within the assigned area.
  • Enforce compliance with safety procedures such as LOTO, SafeTrack, STOP, Toma 2, and proper PPE usage.
  • Lead daily shift start‑up meetings, ensuring clear communication of safety, quality, and operational priorities.
  • Stop unsafe conditions or behaviors that could put personnel, equipment, product quality, or facilities at risk.
  • Ensure correct identification, segregation, and control of non‑conforming product.
  • Audit first‑piece approvals and validate operating conditions before production start‑up.
  • Perform SafeTrack observations, provide immediate feedback, and document findings in the system.
  • Support the investigation of safety, environmental, or quality incidents and execute the escalation process when required.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001) applicable to the area.
  • Coordinate with Production Planning, Maintenance, and Payroll to ensure operational continuity.
  • Manage workforce activities including shift coverage, vacations, training, certifications, and payroll incidents.
  • Ensure smooth shift handovers with zero minutes lost during shift changes.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • Previous experience as Production Supervisor or in a similar role within automotive, metal‑mechanic, chemical, or manufacturing environments.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Production operations and manufacturing systems management.
  • Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kanban, Standard Work, QCO).
  • TPM execution and equipment preservation practices.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949.
  • ERP and manufacturing systems (SAP, QAD).
  • Inventory management and production planning basics.
  • Advanced Office tools (especially Excel and reporting).
  • English proficiency (approximately 80%).

Additional Requirements

  • Availability to work rotating shifts.
  • Willingness to relocate if required.
