Rôles et responsabilités :

  • Conception et modélisation optique : Participer à la conception de composants photoniques innovants en utilisant des outils avancés de modélisation optique.
  • Planification et exécution des expériences : Élaborer des plans d’expérience pour valider et optimiser les paramètres critiques de conception tout en maximisant l’efficacité
  • Analyse des résultats : Étudier les données expérimentales pour confirmer la performance des conceptions et identifier des axes d’amélioration.
  • Documentation et communication : Suivre, documenter et présenter les avancées du projet, tout en soulevant les enjeux potentiels pouvant impacter les délais ou la fonctionnalité des produits.
  • Tests de validation de conception (DVT) : Effectuer les tests sur prototypes et produits finaux pour garantir que les conceptions atteignent les performances cibles.

Qualifications requises / Profil recherché :

  • Diplôme académique : Baccalauréat, Maîtrise ou doctorat en ingénierie, physique, optique, ou dans une discipline connexe.
  • Connaissances en photoniques intégrées haute vitesse, mesure de composants photoniques et conception optique.
  • o Compréhension des processus de validation de conception (DVT) et des analyses statistiques.
  • Esprit d’équipe et capacité à collaborer dans un environnement multidisciplinaire.

Reporting to the Director of the Component Design Group, you will play a key role within the High-Speed Photonic Components (HSPC) team. As a new graduate with a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree, you will be involved in the design, development, and optimization of innovative photonic components. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary experts in an innovation-driven environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Optical Design and Modeling: Participate in the design of innovative photonic components using advanced optical modeling tools.
  • Planning and Execution of Experiments: Develop experimental plans to validate and optimize critical design parameters while maximizing resource efficiency.
  • Results Analysis: Analyze experimental data to confirm design performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Documentation and Communication: Track, document, and present project progress while addressing potential issues that could impact deadlines or product functionality.
  • Design Validation Testing (DVT): Perform tests on prototypes and final products to ensure designs meet target performance levels.

Required Qualifications / Profile:

  • Academic Degree: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering, physics, optics, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of high-speed integrated photonics, photonic component measurement, and optical design.
  • Understanding of design validation testing (DVT) processes and statistical analysis
  • Team spirit and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Initiative, creativity, and a desire to innovate and solve complex problems.
  • Clear, concise, and solutions-oriented communication skills.

Pay Range: 
BSc, MSc: The annual salary range for this position is $55 700 to $88 900.

PhD: The annual salary range for this position is $66 800 to $106 800

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
