Job Profile Summary
Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services, and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in the markets we operate, with specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking highly motivated Graduate Analysts to join our financial markets team. The role is ideal for candidates who are eager to develop their skills in trading, sales, market analysis, and investment strategies. As a Graduate Analyst you will gain hands on experience monitoring macroeconomic indicators, central bank policies, and financial news while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced dynamic environment. This role is based in Singapore. Within FM our business runs across both Sales and Trading. The programme offers you the possibility to rotate across our franchise, across different teams.
What is Financial Markets Sales?
Global Sales provides both flow and bespoke financial solutions to clients across multi asset class. The Sales organization is structured between Financial Institutions and Corporate Sales to reflect the differing needs of our client portfolio.
Rotation areas within FM Sales:
- Financial Institutions and Corporate Origination Sales
- Multi-asset sales: FX, Rates, Credit, Equity, Commodities
- Client Solutions Group
- Product experts: Equity Derivatives, Commodities, Rates, FX
- Distribution Sales
- Balance sheet optimization: Loans and Structured Loans
What is FM Trading?
Financial Markets Trading manages risk and covers flow for our client portfolio by interacting closely with the sales desk and other market participants. Trading manages portfolio risk out of new, existing and daily market risks, within the set risk parameters.

- FX Desk
- Interest Rates Desk
- Global Securities Finance Desk
- Credit and Sovereigns Desk
- Commodities Desk
- Non-Linear Trading Desk
Requirements
- At least a bachelor's degree (preferably quantitative)
- Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in financial markets
- Proficiency in Excel, Python, VBA, or Bloomberg is an advantage
- Collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive and growth mindset with a strong attention to detail
- Fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- Possess ability to prepare presentations and commentary for internal and external stakeholders
