Our company is an international private banking firm that is part of Grupo Santander, located in Geneva with an office in Zurich and branches in Nassau (Bahamas) and Dubai.
With around 400 employees, the company has its own IT department working very closely with the business in the continuous digital transformation needed to excel in the services offered to our clients.
The Geneva office has become a technological hub for other Santander entities, providing critical business services to them.
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to join our dynamic IT team. This is a key leadership role, reporting to the CIO, responsible for overseeing the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure across multiple international locations.
You will ensure the delivery of reliable infrastructure services, in line with business growth, global IT strategy, and security requirements, while working closely with the Group Infrastructure Team in Madrid.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
Organize and prioritize the work of the infrastructure team in line with global IT strategy.
Conduct performance evaluations and support the personal development of team members.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Infrastructure Operations
Oversee day-to-day IT infrastructure operations ensuring stability, integrity, and efficiency.
Ensure incident, change, and problem management processes follow ITIL best practices.
Anticipate and manage hardware, OS, and software obsolescence.
Guarantee resolution of security vulnerabilities within defined SLAs.
Projects & Transformation
Lead infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
Design and implement robust architectures to support business initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes, and tools.
Support the business in its digital transformation journey.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., FINMA, GDPR), and Santander Group IT policies.
Deploy and maintain technology and cybersecurity standards across infrastructure.
Work in close alignment with the Group Infrastructure Team (Madrid) to ensure consistency.
Vendor & Budget Management
Manage providers, contracts, and service agreements.
Oversee purchase and renewal of hardware, licenses, and maintenance agreements.
Control the infrastructure budget and optimize costs.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
At least 10 years of professional experience in IT, with 2+ years in a similar managerial role.
Strong expertise in:
Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
Networking, storage, and datacenter management
Windows and Linux administration
Oracle and SQL databases
Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
Experience in multi-site, international infrastructure management.
Excellent team management and project leadership skills.
Languages
English & French: mandatory (spoken and written).
Spanish: strong plus (due to daily collaboration with Madrid).
