As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. - Coordinate and collaborate across teams to ensure end-to-end migration of applications from legacy infrastructure to the modern private cloud platform.
- Drive a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies.
- Apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate risk.
- Work with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes.
- Be responsible for infrastructure engineering and delivery in accordance with business requirements.
- Drive results and implement multiple complex programs.
- Execute work according to compliance standards, risk and security, and business objectives.
- Consider upstream and downstream system or technical implications and advise on mitigation actions.
- Oversee infrastructure upgrades and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Monitor project progress and report status to stakeholders.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during migration and modernization efforts.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience specifically around virtualization.
- Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with VMware VCF, Terraform, storage clusters, and blueprints.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Basic working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, etc.).
- Drive to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product.
- Experience in software development (Python and Ansible) with 3+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies.
- Ability to drive the project towards completion and communicate with senior leaders.

- Demonstrate prior experience leading infrastructure migration projects.
