Position Overview:
The GXI Associate Director is responsible for executing the Global Experience & Identity (GXI) strategy within the Hyderabad location, ensuring high-quality delivery, operational excellence, and strong talent leadership across Desktop, Collaboration, and Identity technologies.
This role serves as the senior GXI technology and people leader in Hyderabad, accountable for all GXI talent based at the site. The Associate Director partners closely with global GXI leadership to implement established strategies, standards, and roadmaps, translating them into effective local execution that supports enterprise outcomes.
The position anticipates delivery challenges, drives continuous improvement, and resolves complex operational and organizational issues with significant impact to employee experience and service reliability.
Responsibilities:
GXI Strategy Execution
- Execute and operationalize the global GXI strategy and roadmaps within the Hyderabad location.
- Ensure GXI services and practices align with global standards, architectures, and policies.
- Provide feedback and operational insights to global GXI leaders.
Technology & Service Delivery Leadership
- Lead GXI delivery for Hyderabad-based teams across:
- End User Computing / Desktop technologies
- Collaboration platforms (email, messaging, conferencing, productivity tools)
- Identity and Access Management technologies
- Ensure stable, secure, and efficient operation of GXI platforms in a global 24x7 model.
- Monitor service performance, productivity, cost, and user experience metrics.
- Coordinate incident, problem, change, and request management activities.
- Oversee local execution of deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
People & Talent Leadership (Hyderabad)
- Act as the direct people leader for all GXI talent in the Hyderabad office.
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain high-performing GXI professionals.
- Establish goals and performance expectations aligned with global GXI objectives.
- Conduct coaching, performance reviews, career development, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with global GXI, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve digital employee experience.
- Represent Hyderabad GXI delivery in governance and operational forums.
Qualifications:
Education:
College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- 16–18 years of progressive IT experience.
- Proven experience leading teams focused on End User Computing, Collaboration, and/or Identity technologies.
- Experience operating in a global onshore/offshore delivery model.
- Strong background in enterprise service management and technology operations.
Required Skills:
Global Experience & Identity (GXI) Domain Expertise
- Deep expertise across End User Computing / Desktop, Collaboration, and Identity & Access Management technologies in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of digital workplace platforms, including endpoint management, collaboration productivity ecosystems, identity lifecycle management, authentication, and access controls.
- Experience executing standardized global GXI architectures and roadmaps within a regional or site‑based delivery model.
Technology Operations & Service Delivery
- Proven ability to lead enterprise‑scale GXI service delivery in a global, 24x7 operating environment.
- Strong command of IT service management practices, including incident, problem, change, request, and release management.
- Demonstrated success improving service stability, performance, and user experience through disciplined operational execution and continuous improvement.
- Experience overseeing complex deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle activities across desktop, collaboration, and identity platforms.
People & Talent Leadership
- Extensive experience leading multi‑disciplinary GXI teams spanning desktop, collaboration, and identity technologies.
- Proven success managing and scaling offshore or hybrid delivery teams, with clear accountability for performance and outcomes.
- Strong people leadership capabilities, including coaching, performance management, career development, and succession planning.
- Ability to build an inclusive, high‑engagement culture focused on accountability, quality, and operational excellence.
Stakeholder Partnership & Collaboration
- Strong ability to partner with global GXI leadership, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams to execute enterprise standards and priorities.
- Effective communicator who can translate delivery performance and operational risks into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
- Comfortable representing Hyderabad GXI delivery in operational reviews, governance forums, and cross‑functional discussions.
