Summary Generated by Built In
Application Developer Associate Advisor
Full-stack AI developer building intelligent automation and AI-powered platforms for the DPA COE. This role does NOT require BPM/Pega knowledge — it's for a strong software engineer who owns features end-to-end (backend APIs, frontend UIs, database design, cloud infrastructure) and integrates LLMs into production applications. You'll work hands-on across the team's full portfolio: RAG platforms, license management systems, deployment automation, and emerging AI initiatives. AI is not a nice-to-have here — it is how this team builds, operates, and evolves.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain features across all COE applications:
o RAG Platform — lead development on the multi-tenant enterprise knowledge system (FastAPI + React + LangChain + Azure AI Search + PostgreSQL)
o FLAC — enhance the license forecasting platform with AI-powered features (FastAPI + React + PostgreSQL)
o Pega Deployment Manager — extend with intelligent workflow automation (Python + GitHub integration)
Design and implement AI/ML features: RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, structured outputs, embeddings, semantic search, and DB-managed prompt versioning
Champion spec-driven development — write and refine detailed specifications and requirements documents that drive AI-assisted code generation, and help establish spec standards across the team
Build with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code) as a core part of your workflow — not optional
Evaluate and integrate new AI capabilities (agent frameworks, MCP servers, autonomous workflows, self-tuning feedback loops)
Identify manual operational processes across the team and automate them using AI
Contribute to full-stack development across all applications (backend APIs, frontend UIs, database design)
Help enhance CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, including integrations with Pega native APIs for automated builds and deployments
Drive AI best practices and help upskill the rest of the team on AI-augmented development

Qualifications:

Education:

 Any bachelor’s degree

Experience:

Total 8-11 years of experience required.
8+ years of software development experience (AI certifications preferred — e.g., AWS AI/ML Specialty, Google Professional ML Engineer,DeepLearning.AI, or equivalent)

Skills:

Full-stack developer — strong backend AND frontend skills, comfortable owning features end-to-end
Strong Python skills (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, async patterns)
Production experience with LLM integrations (LangChain, OpenAI API, Anthropic API, or equivalent) including structured outputs and prompt management
Experience building RAG systems or knowledge retrieval pipelines
Understanding of AI agent patterns (autonomous workers, background AI automation)
Strong frontend development skills (React preferred)
PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database experience
Proficiency with AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code) daily use expected
Git, Docker, CI/CD experience (Jenkins preferred)
AWS experience (EC2, S3, Lambda, or equivalent cloud services)

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Azure AI Search, vector databases, or embedding models
Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, CrewAI)
MCP (Model Context Protocol) server development experience
Experience building self-tuning AI systems (feedback loops, track record analysis, outcome-driven improvement)
 OpenShift or Kubernetes deployment experience
