Role Purpose

As an Infrastructure Engineering expert you will lead the migration of critical workloads to Azure, designing and deploying scalable cloud architectures that transform how Capricorn operates. With your innovative mindset, you will build and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines to fully automate infrastructure provisioning and management, while also play a key role in driving the rollout of modern Azure services to accelerate new platform capabilities and keep Capricorn at the cutting edge.

Capabilities Required

Technical Skills:

• Advanced expertise in managing on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure, with deep knowledge of Azure services, networking, security, and automation.

• Strong experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) to drive continuous improvement.

• Solid knowledge of system performance monitoring, incident management, and disaster recovery planning.

• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, storage solutions, and security best practices.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering or IT systems support roles, with a proven track record of managing hybrid environments and cloud migrations.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and optimising infrastructure solutions, supported by incident and outage management experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Advanced certifications in Microsoft Azure.

• Demonstrated expertise in scripting, with PowerShell preferred.

• ITIL certification, demonstrating proficiency in IT service management best practices.
