DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Perform operational support at scale by representing storage, and supporting block object files and the cloud. Support storage operations and automation across multiple storage and cross-storage platforms. Code, test, and deliver to automate repetitive and manual operational tasks. Troubleshoot priority incidents, conduct and facilitate blameless postmortems, and ensure that incidents are permanently closed. Work with the site reliability team throughout the life cycle to develop software that is reliable and scalable, with minimal refactoring and changes. Implement infrastructure changes in products and environments. Determine gaps between applicable requirements and current procedures and controls to guide the resolution of mitigating controls. Collaborate with business partners to design and implement improvements to existing business processes and applications. Implement new processes and toolkits, and engage in process re-engineering. Analyze and resolve project-related issues, and follow through on set objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, NAS Storage Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SAP FICO Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, NAS Storage Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SAP FICO Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires 3 years of experience in the following: At least two of the following: NetApp using OnTap, Storage Grid, Solidfire, Dell using Isilon, Scale IO, or Dell ECS; Requires experience with the following: Managing FAME framework repository by deploying in DEV, UAT and PROD environments; developing, testing and deploying code on AAAS application as a part of storage toil reduction and SNOW auto generated ticket reduction efforts; designing, developing, testing and deploying automation to monitor and report cluster connectivity status for AIQUM instances globally; At least one of the following Infrastructure components: Load balancer, network layer, cloud products, container systems, compute or storage; At least one general purpose programming language: Python, Java, C, C++, Go, or Shell scripting.
Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
