LGT Wealth Management was formed around a clear and uncompromising vision – to bring global best practice in building institutional quality investment portfolios to Australian clients.

With a shared passion for building an uncompromised business – we created something new from the ground up. A chance to leave behind the things that weren’t working, while enhancing the things that were. Our authentic and personalised client-first commitment. Our entrepreneurial spirit. Our focus in best-in-class advice. And our intimate understanding of the Australian private wealth landscape.

In 2022 we became a part of the LGT Group, who shared our entrepreneurial spirit, long-term approach and private-ownership model. Today, with the global expertise, stability, and capability of LGT behind us, we can work without being reliant on markets or margins, with a singular focus on giving our clients the advice and deep expertise they need for generations to come.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology team on a full-time permanent basis. As an infrastructure Engineer, you will provide operational support across Windows and Linux servers, Azure and Microsoft 365, identity and access management, networking, backups, monitoring and local infrastructure. You will work within the Technology Services Infrastructure team to resolve incidents, support business-critical applications and integrations, and contribute to new solution deployments and production readiness.

You will also play an important role in improving how we operate through automation, scripting, documentation, proactive monitoring and close collaboration with local and group technology teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain and support core infrastructure across Windows and Linux servers, Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, file services, networking, backups, monitoring and local data centre environments.

  • Administer access and identity services, including SaaS integrations using SAML, OIDC and SCIM for SSO, provisioning and federation support.

  • Resolve infrastructure, application and integration incidents; investigate root causes; and provide second- and third-level support for business-critical services.

  • Support production deployments, environment readiness, scheduled jobs, integration services and operational handovers.

  • Deliver regular patching, vulnerability remediation, certificate management, backup and disaster-recovery testing.

  • Improve reliability and efficiency through scripting, automation, proactive monitoring, documentation and knowledge sharing.

  • Work closely with local, group and senior technology teams on incidents, changes, projects and service restoration.

Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of enterprise infrastructure operations experience, ideally in a regulated or financial services setting.

  • Strong Windows Server administration, plus working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, enterprise file services and access controls.

  • Sound networking troubleshooting across LAN, VLAN, Wi-Fi and firewall workflows.

  • Experience with backup, recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis and production support.

  • Practical PowerShell, Python or equivalent scripting skills for operational automation.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, own smaller changes end to end and escalate complex issues appropriately.

Preferred experience

  • Linux administration and container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes or Docker.

  • CI/CD, deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools, including Ansible, Terraform, GitLab or ArgoCD.

  • Supporting critical or hosted financial-services applications, such as reconciliation, reporting or portfolio systems.

  • Experience working with local and central technology teams in a hybrid operating model.

  • Familiarity with certificate management, vulnerability remediation, compliance controls, monitoring, alerting and capacity management.

Qualifications

You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related discipline, or bring equivalent practical experience.

Industry certifications are valued but not essential. Relevant certifications may include:

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102)
