Infrastructure Engineer Senior Advisor - HIH

As a NetDevOps team we at Evernorth are bringing Software Engineering, Agile & DevOps principles to Enterprise Networking, and Enterprise Networking into the DevOps team. NetDevOps is infrastructure as code; it is automating network engineering/operations to the furthest extent possible.

In this role you will:

• Deliver infrastructure as code that has had automated end-to-end testing, documentation via published work & development processes & standards.
• Greatly reduce repetitive boring manual tasks so you can work on the fun challenging projects that advance efficiency and operational integrity of Cigna's IT infrastructure.
• Prevent fat finger mistakes or other errors and revert configurations back to the last working configuration to restore network services as quickly as possible. 

Responsibilities

As a UI developer you will:

• As an Angular developer, your daily tasks will involve translating designs into high-performance web applications. Create scalable solutions using tools like TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• User Interface Development: Create visually appealing and responsive user interfaces. Utilize Angular to transform design concepts into interactive, user-friendly web applications, ensuring a seamless engaging user experience.
• Code Implementation: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Follow industry best practices and coding to develop scalable and modular Angular applications.
• Component Architecture: Develop reusable and modular UI components to promote code reusability and maintainability. Implement state management and handle component communication for efficient data flow.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and back-end developers, to ensure seamless integration of front-end and-end systems. Maintain effective communication to align with project goals.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for the codebase, APIs, and architectural decisions. Support knowledge transfer within the team and contribute to the overall knowledge base.
• Testing and Debugging: Perform comprehensive testing of Angular applications, including unit testing and end-to-end testing. Debug and resolve issues to ensure a robust and error-free user experience. Work closely with QA team to include automated testing into the build pipeline

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Angular Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in the Angular framework, including a deep understanding of core concepts like components, services, modules, data structures.
• UI/UX Sensibility: Good understanding of UI/UX web design principles and a focus on delivering intuitive user interfaces.
• Build and Version Control Tools: Proficient in using version control tools such as Git.
• Strong interest in learning new and emerging technologies.
• Networking experience (e.g. protocols, routing, switching, filtering, firewall rules, etc.) is a plus.

Required Experience & Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business or Computer Science preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Angular development and 5+ years in a senior developer role. Experience mentoring junior developers is a plus.
