This transformation includes new global governance, new ways of working and the implementation of digital business services and platforms Airbus is looking for an Infrastructure Architect (m/f) to join in Bangalore, India.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

The skills you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, information technology or other related discipline with 12-14 years of total experience

  • Min. 5-8 years agile experience working in cross-functional Agile teams from inception to release.

  • Min. 5-8 years of experience designing and building complex IT systems.

• Experience with Agile methodology, and ideally (but not necessarily) Kanban and SAFe

• Preferred skills:

  • Experience working on distributed systems, and microservices

  • Experience with systems integration

  • Experience working on data-driven applications

  • Knowledge of software security standards and best practices

Your Responsibilities/Tasks

• Define and validate infrastructure architecture for new and existing IT solutions

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with business needs

• Lead requirements gathering, architecture design, documentation, evaluation, and evolution for infrastructure projects

• Guide development and operations teams on infrastructure best practices

• Participate in architecture exchanges and communities

• Mentor and coach team members on infrastructure topics

• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and maintainability standards

• Design, document, and support on-premises and cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) infrastructure solutions

• Industrialize highly available, scalable, monitored infrastructure solutions

• Support business process redesign and change management transformation

• Monitor and assess new technologies and trends for infrastructure improvement

Qualifications

• Application level solution designing and support

• Application scaling to the platform and following guidelines and standards

• Microservices and System Integration experience

• Experience in designing and implementing serverless architecture, RESTful APIs, Web-services

• Good understanding of implementing software security standards and best practices

• Designing, developing, testing, documenting, publishing, supporting and operating on premises and cloud (AWS, GCP) applications

• System architecture dossiers (technical chapter of an Architecture requirement dossier) answering to functional requirements

• Industrializing highly available, scalable, maintainable, monitored solutions

• Strong knowledge about cyber security and the ability to design cyber security compliant applications and components

• Experience in software architecture/systems design and team leadership

• Experience with software development/architecture on the cloud

• Collaborates effectively with others in a team environment

• Experience with software design including design patterns, algorithms, the SOLID principles, and clean code

• Knowledge of architecture design including architecture patterns and anti-patterns

• Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project

• English: advanced level both verbal and written

• Proven experience in infrastructure architecture, design, and support

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), on-premises infrastructure, and hybrid solutions

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure design, architecture patterns, and anti-patterns

• Experience in technical security solutions and compliance

• Advanced English (verbal and written)

• Experience in team leadership and mentoring

• Ability to communicate and influence across teams and stakeholders

• Ability to play a visionary role to proactively help define the direction of future IT products and services and validate product designs

• Communication - Collaboration with other architects, systems analysts, and developers to deliver the highest-quality solutions using innovative technologies

• Knowledge to define models, including solution blueprints, to guide decisions related to these solutions

• Participation in all phases of the application development lifecycle, including research and design, development, testing, implementation, and support

• Capacity to align the architecture strategy with the organization's business objectives and long-term strategic planning for its IT systems

• Ability to ensure the technical/functional design of the application and infrastructure components of a new solution based on the defined functional design. - Provide expertise in business processes, change management transformation, functional improvement, and technology enablement for business process redesign and support architects during projects

• Understanding of potential compliance risks and commitment to acting with integrity, as the foundation for the company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth

• Good understanding & Alignment of IT/Business strategies

• Good understanding of Software Engineering fundamentals: Backend Languages & Frameworks, Database Management, API Design, Cloud solutions, UI/UX Principles

• Experience with digitalization initiatives and business transformation

• Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals and design thinking

• DevOps knowledge on CI/CD pipelines and utilizing them efficiently

• DevOps orientation, knowledge of continuous integration frameworks and some of the following products/tools: Docker, Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, VersionOne, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Ansible, etc
