Infrastructure Architect

Job Purpose

• Develop and drive the infrastructure architecture in their SME domain (Backup and Storage)

• Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point into backup and storage solutions 

• Drive or get involved with infrastructure projects (other than SME domain) as and when needed

• Design global solutions that can be delivered at a regional level 

• Manage transition from conception to design to initial implementation phase of a technical solution

Responsibilities

Technical Design and Operational Tasks

• Design infrastructure solutions that are secure, scalable, and highly available for both on-prem and cloud solutions

• Work collaboratively with the different IT teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements

• Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point to other Infrastructure teams

• Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of infrastructure and systems

• Assist in the infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

• Analyzes the current infra architecture setup to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements

Standards, Policies and Procedures

• Develops, communicates and supports technical policies, standards, guidelines and procedures related to infrastructure technical domain. 

• Designs standard configurations and patterns. 

Project Delivery

• Organize and manage technical solutions from conception to initial implementation to production 

• Works closely with project management team to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered

• Assures on application or infrastructure projects to fit infrastructure to the technical architecture requirements

• Identifies when it is necessary to modify the technical/solution architecture to accommodate project needs. 

• Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Fluent or native English speaker

• At least 3 years of deploying and managing Veeam Enterprise Backup and Recovery software

• At least 3 years knowledge of and experience with infrastructure architecture and design

• Experience with the deployment of large infrastructure projects across multiple geographies 

Desirable

• At least 3 years of deploying and managing Rubrik Backup and Recovery software

• Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company

• Conversant in French or another European language would be advantageous
