Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an Infrastructure and Systems Manager for our Columbus, Ohio, area location.

Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and retain a team of Systems Administrators and Systems Engineers by establishing clear expectations, assigning ownership, providing coaching and feedback, and supporting professional development.
- Own the operational health, availability, capacity, performance, recoverability, and lifecycle of enterprise infrastructure and systems services.
- Direct the monitoring and support of network, server, storage, backup, virtualization, Microsoft 365, communications, remote-connectivity, and related infrastructure platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and escalation support for complex incidents, engaging internal teams, vendors, and other resources through resolution.
- Ensure infrastructure incidents, problems, and changes follow established processes for escalation, communication, root-cause analysis, corrective action, documentation, and lessons learned.
- Build and manage infrastructure roadmaps and priorities encompassing modernization, lifecycle management, resilience, capacity, technical debt, and security remediation.
- Partner with IT leadership, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Product teams, Production Operations, and business stakeholders to plan and deliver infrastructure initiatives.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions are designed, implemented, documented, secured, monitored, and maintained to be reliable, supportable, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
- Maintain effective backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery capabilities, including documented recovery procedures and regular testing.
- Manage infrastructure budgets, forecasts, licensing, renewals, vendor relationships, hardware and service investments, and related financial recommendations.
- Establish and continuously improve consistent engineering, operational, documentation, and change-management practices.
- Participate in planned maintenance and after-hours escalation support as business needs require.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and systems.
- Two or more years of formal people-management, supervisory, or equivalent team-lead experience, including coaching, workload prioritization, performance management, and employee development.
- Broad experience across several enterprise technology areas, such as:
- Windows and Linux servers
- Enterprise networking and remote connectivity
- Virtualization and hybrid infrastructure
- Storage, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery
- Microsoft 365 and identity services
- Infrastructure security and vulnerability remediation
- Demonstrated experience leading infrastructure operations, production support, incident response, change management, lifecycle planning, and cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Experience managing technology vendors, service providers, licensing, renewals, budgets, or infrastructure investment recommendations.
- Ability to translate technical risk, service health, capacity, and investment needs into clear recommendations for technical and business audiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to participate in occasional after-hours escalations and planned maintenance.

This is a fully on-site position reporting to the office Monday through Friday.
