Job Description
The POS System Support Intern assists in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to ensure smooth store operations. The role involves system setup, product and inventory encoding, hardware configuration, and transaction testing. The intern also supports data accuracy, user access control, and back-office reporting functions.
Daily Tasks / Responsibilities:
· Install and configure the POS application on tablets and mobile devices.
· Set up and update store profiles, including store details and currency settings.
· Connect and configure hardware devices such as receipt printers and barcode scanners.
· Encode and maintain the product master list, including product names, descriptions, SKUs, categories, and pricing.
· Generate and assign barcodes to products as needed.
· Organize products by department to ensure accurate categorization.
· Perform physical stock counts and input initial inventory quantities into the system.
· Encode purchase orders and supplier information to maintain accurate stock records.
· Configure user roles and restrict access to sensitive POS functions.
· Conduct test transactions, including sales, refunds, and exchanges, to ensure system functionality.
· Monitor inventory movement reports and verify data synchronization between devices and the back office.
· Troubleshoot basic system and hardware issues as needed.
Qualified course/s:
· BS in Computer Science,
· BS in Information in Technology or;
· Any related degree
WEB MAINTENANCE
Job Summary
Assist in maintaining and supporting our Shopify website by updating content, monitoring performance, supporting analytics, and contributing to marketing and UX initiatives under guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Update product listings, collections, and basic page content.
• Upload images, banners, and promotional material.
• Review website for broken links or outdated content.
• Perform small content and SEO improvements under guidance.
Analytics & Reporting
• Monitor website uptime and report any issues.
• Assist in running analytics reports and tracking KPIs.
• Maintain product inventory spreadsheets and track simple website metrics.
• Create visual reports or dashboards for the team.
Marketing & UX Support
• Draft or format product descriptions for review.
• Upload blog posts or promotional content.
• Schedule seasonal or promotional banners.
• Test website navigation, forms, and checkout flows.
• Compile user feedback or questions for the IT/marketing team.
SEO & Optimization Assistance
• Add alt text for images and meta descriptions under guidance.
• Ensure product pages follow naming or tagging standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science, BS in Information in Technology/ any related degree.
• Must own a Laptop.
• Basic familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow guidance.
• Basic understanding of digital content, images, SEO, and website metrics.
