Valiant Integrated Services is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Specialist to work at the Undersea Warfighting Development Center (UWDC) in Norfolk VA. The selectee will support the IT department to ensure systems and networks enable UWDC to accomplish its assigned missions to lead undersea superiority, enable combat lethality, and optimize effects from and to the undersea domain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accomplish UWDC information technology (IT) tasks regarding computers & communication systems; information assurance, information management, and network technology; classified and unclassified networks; and secure video teleconferencing systems.
- Advise UWDC on services and solutions to customer requests for assistance in resolving hardware and software problems including personnel workstations and command servers.
- Assist in maintaining and operating computers, networks, servers, cellular phone, video teleconference systems.
- Perform duties as Navy and Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Trusted Agent (TA) and Activity Contract Technical Representative (ACTR).
- Research customer requirements; track validated Move, Add, Change (MAC) requests; maintain accountability/inventory of IT and video teleconferencing assets; reset PINs, verify customer identities in Local Registration Authority (LRA), manage digital certificates.
- Support cyber security tasks; respond to electronic spillages; execute removable media/cross domain support; execute higher level Network Telecommunication Directives (NTD); execute Computer Tasking Orders (CTO); facilitate network security training; manage Enterprise User Accounts and Cyber Security Training Certificates.
- Resolve software and hardware problems, resolve conflicts between applications and/or devices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, computer science, or related field.
- DoD Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II baseline certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher) in alignment with DoD 8570.01-M & SECNAV M-5239.2 guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Subject matter expertise in IT systems, hardware, software, policies, information assurance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week at designated work site, typically UWDC Norfolk VA.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
- Ability to lift, maneuver, and arrange standard work-related computers and other devices either independently or with reasonable assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the workspace for standard work-related tasks.

Skills Required

- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
