Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Information Systems Security Analyst to submit as key personnel on an upcoming opportunity in Dahlgren, Virginia.  Upon award this role will be part of a critical team responsible for Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Management support.  Key duties will include: 

  • Implement and maintain Cybersecurity controls, processes, and procedures for SCSTC systems in accordance with DoD, DON, and SCSTC Cybersecurity policies.
  • Conduct Cybersecurity assessments, site visits, and inspections; review STIG/VRAM status, vulnerability scans, and system logs; develop recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities and improve security posture.
  • Support the full RMF A&A lifecycle, including development and maintenance of RMF artifacts, assessment plans and reports, POA&Ms, and risk recommendations.
  • Provide continuous monitoring of network and system activity; triage and escalate security incidents; support containment, remediation, and after‑action analysis.
  • Advise security and IT leadership on risk posture and ensure documentation of all security operations and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of IA/Cybersecurity experience supporting DoD/Navy networks, including hands‑on RMF and A&A support.
  • Experience with STIGs, VRAM, ACAS or similar scanning tools, and enterprise log/monitoring solutions.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance; eligible for IT Level‑1 designation as a privileged user.

Certifications

  • Must meet DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce qualification requirements for applicable DCWF role codes.
  • Required IAM Level I baseline certification (one of): Security+ (baseline), CASP, or CISSP.
