Summary

We are currently looking for a Information Systems Jr Mgr to join our team in Mexico City. The Information Systems Jr Mgr manages a team of individuals whose primary objectives are to coordinate with the business units and information system (IS) vendors, facilitate application or technical infrastructure development, related with Procurement and Purchasing Applications, and participate in budget planning. Manages coordination with NML and the US – MX – Canada - LATAM affiliate companies as required for specific projects. Understands Nissan business strategies and initiatives to develop information technology strategies and roadmaps as needed. Identifies, implements, and manages policies, procedures, and processes that contribute to the organization’s objectives.

A Day in the Life:   

  • Strategy: For the business unit and/or technology area, you support, understand the business strategy, and align the required project portfolio, initiatives and budget to support it. This includes alignment with regional and global strategies as well.
  • Roadmap: For the business unit and/or technology area you support, establish the plan, timing an order of initiatives that support the business strategy/initiatives, maintains current levels of hardware/software, plans and supports cloud migration of core systems and accounts for changes in regulations, information security.
  • Business Value: Proactively align with business and technology partners to raise new initiatives, automation, digitalization and innovation that offer additional business value, improve the customer experience, solve business problems and/or provide efficiencies to the organization.
  • Strive to thoroughly understand the business area you support, the processes and use of technology to ensure high quality project delivery.
  • Manage and maintain the project in-take process, ensure resources assigned to highest impact/benefit projects, and ensure status of prioritization and project portfolio is well communicated to management and staff.
  • Manage technology outsource vendor relationships. Develop agreements, objectives, SLAs and manage vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of resources and services.
  • Participates/Initiate in business process reengineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in annual budget planning process, understand all costs (projects, software, maintenance, etc.), manage and develop initiatives to reduce costs and budget.
  • For new projects, manage accurate estimation/forecasting, cost analysis, business case/benefit development and present projects (regionally & globally) for approval to senior management including directors. Oversee the projects thru the required funding approval process.
  • For projects and applications ensure solutions and architecture is well thought out, meets standard, approved by enterprise review board, provides high availability, uses standard hardware & software, and maximize regional/global reuse & supportability.
  • Manages the administration and management of services and ensures consistency across affiliates. Instructs vendor management on the monitoring and measurement of service delivery to ensure compliance with the contract.
  • Management Accountabilities: Manage internal staff, external contractors, vendor resources and/or offshore resources. Supervise and provide leadership.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of IS/IT experience.
  • Five or more years as an intermediate level Project Management, providing leadership, guidance, to the Teams involved on the Projects in charge.
  • Supervised subordinates or contractors whose roles were diverse in roles and objectives (e.g., External Project Managers, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, etc.).
  • Professional English level (spoken and written); Upper intermediate – Fluent Advanced.

Desired:

  • 5 or more years of SAP Experience.
