Annual Salary:

Level Three: $100,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits

This is the specialist level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibilities involving advanced analysis and programming work such as independent responsibility for a complete application or operating system or subsystem, project management on an occasional basis, or responsibility for the coordination of multiple programming tasks or activities. This may include the supervision or direction of others as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Level Three: Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of the completion of twelve semester hours of computer science or management information systems course work at an accredited college or university plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or completion of a minimum of 156 hours of vocational or technical education courses resulting in certification in applications development plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in applications development for the required education plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work.

       

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using .NET (ASP.NET Core), C#, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS 
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems 
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end interfaces 
  • Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technology selection 
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments 
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices 
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers 
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions 
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
  • Maintain technical documentation and system design artifacts

Skills Required

  • Completion of 12 semester hours of computer science or management information systems coursework plus three years of applications development and analysis experience (or vocational certification plus three years, or equivalent combination)
