Qualis LLC is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the 96 Test Wing contract under the Air force Division located at Eglin AFB, FL. 

Essential Duties:

  • Provide advisory and assistance services in support of the implementation of cybersecurity safeguards while developing, coordinating, and implementing short- and long-term strategies during system acquisition activities.
  • Assist ISSMs in performing, assessing, reporting, and managing Interim Authority to Test (IATT) and Authority to Operate (ATO) initial and recurring authorization tasks.
  • Conduct, analyze, and report the results of cybersecurity continuous monitoring activities using automation tools for system configuration management (Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)), vulnerability management, and endpoint security.
  • Interpret and implement all applicable cybersecurity policies, instructions, and procedures IAW current DoD, DAF, 96 Test Wing, 96 Range Group, and Squadron guidance.
  • Achieves and maintains DoD Workforce Systems Security Analyst Intermediate or higher cybersecurity certification(s) (e.g., Security+, Network+, Cloud, CCSP, etc.).
  • Assist the government cybersecurity Contract Officer Representative (COR) in conducting information system assessments to verify delivery of contract requirements.
  • Assist the ISSM in conducting risk assessments and identifying applicable mitigations to reduce the residual cybersecurity risk associated with known vulnerabilities.
  • They need to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant field with 0-3 years’ experience. Experience may be substituted for education with government approval.
  • Certification: Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DOD Directive 8140-M for Information Assurance Manager Level 1. (i.e., Security + CE certification)
  • Knowledge and expertise in Cybersecurity requirements, network technologies, and computer security as applied to Department of Defense (DoD) networks
  • Experience with DISA STIGs, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), STIG Viewer, Host Base Security System, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution is preferred
  • Experience developing SOPs and SSPs
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows
  • Basic understanding of Windows PowerShell and Python scripting
  • Basic understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP, UDP, Layer 2 and Layer 3
  • Familiarity/proficiency with processes and functions, information technology hardware and software products, as well as, computer peripherals (e.g. printers, monitors, hard drives, docking stations, scanners, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
  • An active Secret clearance
