Wells Fargo is seeking an Information Security Engineering Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a team of engineers that design, document, test, maintain and provide issue resolution recommendations for highly complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication or directory services, email, internet, applications or endpoint security
- Manage security consulting on large projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information security policy, and standards
- Possess subject matter expertise at a mastery level in current and emerging security solutions and best practices
- Review and correlate security logs
- Manage computer security incident response activities for highly complex events
- Conduct technical investigation of security-related incidents, and conduct post-incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
- Manage implementation of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
- Work with more experienced technologists and team
- Interface with more experienced management
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Information Security Architecture
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of information security experience and 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Expertise in leading Heterogeneous computing environment that Network Security systems
- Expert knowledge on multi-vendor firewall hardware (Palo Alto / Fortinet) and how they process connectivity.
- Expert in Palo Alto Panorama, and Fortinet Forti Manager management platforms
- Expert in Palo Alto and Fortinet IPS/NGFW policy and security management
- Expertise in information security industry and regulatory standards, policies, procedures, and control systems
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and program management skills.
- Extremely good in verbal, presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Good negotiation, conflict resolution and decision making skills.
- Effective people management experience with managing managers and team members
- Industry certification like CISSP/CISM in good standing for over 3 years.
- Minimum of the Palo Alto PCNSE & Fortinet NSE certification
- Experience in Banking organization
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Managed service delivery certifications like ITIL, Six Sigma will be beneficial
Job Expectations:
- Oversee day to day Network Security - Firewall Engineering. Oversee a team of 12+ of team members
- Strategize and support Network Security roadmap with year on year continuous improvement as value addition.
- Contribute/Develop and implement enterprise wide strategic initiatives and best practices of Network Security organization at the enterprise level
- Partner with IS and IT to understand business processes and requirements and then provides consulting and solutions design to enable risk mitigation across the Network Security platform
- Primary contact for customers and partners in their pursuit to implement the best possible security solutions
- Plan, measure and monitor health of operations with KPIs and KRIs.
- Lead initiatives like predictive trend analysis, continuous improvement thru automations and cross trainings.
- Partner with senior stakeholders in the business to influence project outcomes
- Create and maintain Statement of work and Process Service Description for the function
- Responsible for recruitment, performance management and team development.
- Accomplish results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results and coaching
- Accountable for forecasting, capacity planning, building high performing teams and monitoring the success of integrated service delivery.
- Ensure smooth delivery of projects/ operations with strong focus on quality and value creation for the organization/enterprise.
