The Information Risk Management Senior Specialist is part of the NA IRO team and supports a director who is responsible for a business unit or Segment in North America. The role is expected to take on a wide range of responsibilities related to 2nd Line oversight and challenge activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently complete Issue and CAP oversight.

  • Review IT incidents and reportable events to assess whether the root causes are correctly identified and risks and controls are properly assessed.

  • Provide oversight and challenge on the Information Risk Assessments (IRA) for significant technology changes.

  • Provide oversight and challenges on third parties as per the requirement of Manulife standards.  

  • Review the quality of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and provide oversight and challenge in accordance with the Standard.

  • Review the quality of Disaster Recovery plans and the testing and provide oversight and challenge.  

  • Help maintain PowerBI dashboards that contain IRM risk data for US and Canada Segments

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
