This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is located at 3200 Beechleaf Court, Raleigh - Wake County, with Department of Insurance.   

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $40.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).  

Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.  The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.

Hispanic and Military Outreach Coordinator

  • Traveling throughout the state of North Carolina as needed to attend meetings with the Hispanic and Military communities.
  • Creating initiatives in collaboration with the local media (radio, television and social media) and supported by the distribution of printed material from NCDOI to reach and educate these groups regarding their rights and responsibilities as insurance policy holders.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, public affairs, media, journalism, English, or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in communications, public relations, or publicity work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
