The Informatica MDM Architect serves as a senior-level technical leader within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Group, supporting the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) initiative. This role is responsible for the strategy, architecture, design, and hands-on implementation of the agency’s Master Data Management (MDM) solution to improve client data quality across multiple healthcare systems and enable unified reporting. The position provides both strategic oversight and technical execution, ensuring alignment between data governance frameworks, enterprise architecture, and operational systems. The architect collaborates with data architects, business stakeholders, and integration teams to deliver high-quality master data solutions across client and provider domains.



Responsibilities
• Define and own the enterprise MDM architecture, including match-merge rules, survivorship, hierarchies, workflows, and data hub design.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enhancements to MDM application layers and related components.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to integrate source system data into Informatica MDM applications.
• Perform logical and physical data modeling for MDM databases and related structures.
• Lead modernization and migration efforts from on-premises Informatica MDM to Informatica MDM SaaS/IDMC where applicable.
• Design MDM solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., OCI) and integrate with cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake.
• Manage and monitor the MDM project lifecycle, including sprint planning, task coordination, and deployment oversight.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, subject matter experts, and integration teams to ensure delivery of accurate and consistent golden records.
• Develop and optimize landing, base, and cross-reference tables to support master data operations.
• Apply AI and machine-learning–based tools to enhance data quality, anomaly detection, duplicate resolution, and metadata enrichment within MDM platforms.



Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• 8 years of experience as a Technical Architect leading enterprise-wide data management solution architecture, design, implementation, and operations.
• 8 years of advanced Informatica and ETL development experience, including Informatica PowerCenter.
• 8 years of experience designing and implementing Master Data Management solutions.
• 8 years of experience designing and implementing custom Informatica PowerCenter solutions.
• 8 years of proficiency in SQL and database technologies.
• 8 years of experience configuring MDM on cloud platforms (e.g., OCI) or implementing Informatica IDMC.
• 8 years of experience integrating MDM solutions with cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake.
• 8 years of experience managing MDM and Data Governance deliverables, including strategic roadmaps, frameworks, technical design documents, and data models.
• 8 years of experience facilitating cross-functional discussions and communicating MDM and Data Governance success factors to stakeholders.
• 8 years of demonstrated leadership in complex, large-scale data initiatives.
• 2 years of experience applying AI and machine-learning–based tools to improve data governance, lineage, stewardship workflows, and master data optimization.
• 8 years of Informatica MDM Development – Including Informatica IDMC Cloud Platform.



Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting HHSC TIERS.
• Healthcare industry experience in Medicaid, Government Medical, or Hospital Systems environments.

• Criminal background checks and drug screening in accordance with Federal and State law.
• Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of required background checks.
