The Role
The Democratic National Committee is looking for a driven, forward-thinking social media expert with a broad knowledge of influencers and a deep interest in creating political content. The Influencer Manager will identify creators to work with, build strong relationships with them, and create opportunities to produce effective social media content tied to the Democratic Party. The ideal candidate for this role has excellent communication skills and a natural ability to collaborate.
Responsibilities
- Identify influencers that the DNC should work with and build strong relationships with them.
- Coordinate collaboration between influencers, the DNC, and Democratic leaders.
- Grow a big rolodex of influencers and notable social media publishers.
- Contribute to defining the DNC’s influencer strategy.
- Help book Democratic leaders on podcasts and interview series.
- Ensure that the DNC is effectively using influencer engagement to reach key voters.
- Help produce successful social content.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience working in marketing, ideally with creators.
- Experience in politics or on political campaigns is a nice to have, not a need to have.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of social platforms and a thorough awareness of successful creators.
- Experience creating content for social platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram.
- An interest in politics and a commitment to staying on top of political news.
- Experience assembling and directing a group to achieve an important goal.
- Ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively with others.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational skills.
The starting salary for the Influencer Manager position is $65,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
