Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a INFINITI Regional Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team in Irvine, CA.

Oversees multiple regional functions including sales operations, distribution, marketing, client experience and network development. Manages group to develop, design, and execute the regional business plan and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual performance objectives for an assigned region.  Oversees effective, accurate and timely communication of retail and wholesale objectives and results to the RVP, AGMs and DOMs.  Drives sales through improved client satisfaction and promotion and tracking of programs and practices that build client loyalty. Oversees the vehicle allocation process to ensure the right car is available at the right time and the region has sufficient vehicles in its pipeline to achieve success in the market. Drives sales efficiency and inventory optimization to improve market share and retailer profitability. Ensures the regional marketing budget is efficiently and effectively optimized to drive retail sales. Manages regional marketing budget and tactics as well as tier two IMG marketing budgets and tactics. Working with the RVP, responsible for monthly governance reporting and presentation decks, IMG meeting decks and various regional communications.  Drives regional operations and decision making in the absence of the RVP.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develops and manages assigned regional staff. 

  • Manage employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, assessing annual performance, and determining rotational/promotional recommendations.

  • Monitors quality of work.

  • Supervises and provides leadership, coaching, guidance, training, career counseling and staff development; interviews and selects employees; counsels and disciplines employees as necessary; recommends termination when appropriate.

  • Leads a team of Managers and Planners to support the field teams and retailers in achieving their regional objectives including retail, wholesale, customer satisfaction, parts & accessories, service contracts and network development.

  • This position will be the main liaison for each of these departments from national headquarters to the regional office.

  • Works closely with the RVP to develop and launch regional tactical programs to improve retail sales velocity and objective attainment. 

  • Ensures AGM alignment of national and regional incentives and tactical programs; oversees budget and compliance of regional programs.

  • Drives vehicle wholesale objective attainment by ensuring effective retail operations consulting that demonstrates potential ROI on sales; accentuates special wholesale promotions and reward opportunities; communicates optimum model, option and color mix to improves sales efficiency.

  • Partners with AGM to assess current effectiveness of marketing and incentive plans in dealerships. 

  • Aligns with the RVP on the implementation of new marketing programs and techniques to drive performance.

  • Overseas Regional Marketing and IMG budgets, tactics and strategic plans.

  • Oversee dealer facing corrective performance actions and decisions as directed by RVP.

  • Manage the regional Retail Operational Review process and works with the AGMs to align resources.

  • Ensures management of all information and legal documentation outlining the dealer and company execution of required performance, financial standards and other obligations for assigned region.

  • Ensures proper contact with dealership owners regarding document execution complying with required notifications, performance obligations and related signatures.

  • Works with National HQ DND Strategy and Operations groupd and the RVP to align on network actions.

  • Manages the analysis of the client experience and related loyalty correlation for assigned region. 

  • Promotes consistently high standards relating to showroom and service experience to increase client loyalty and increase long term sales.  

  • Supports AGMs and Regional Aftersales Manager with action plans to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction. 

  • Monitors progress and priorities of action plans and directs attention as needed.

Who We're Looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related degree.  Advanced post-graduate degree desired.

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing and sales experience within the automotive dealer support functions: national/regional sales and marketing experience (i.e., marketing and media, market rep, sales operations, distribution); consumer affairs; direct dealer contact experience (i.e. AGM, DOM, FOM, FSM, Audit, Retail) strongly preferred; Prior management experience in one or more areas of dealer operations, marketing and media, contests & incentives, carflow and distribution, customer satisfaction, market rep and analytics are highly preferred.

  • Two or more years as a Manager or Supervisor, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, training and contributing to staff development. Supervised subordinates or contractors with somewhat differentiated roles.

  • Prior experience managing the work of others required with a proven ability to drive performance of others.

  • Ability to influence the actions of others who may not be under direct control through relationship building skills.

  • Thorough understanding of the various aspects of dealership operations including: marketing, advertising and promotions; market representation function, sales and service agreements; satisfaction index (CSI/SSI) survey process and reports; automotive retail sales and service operations, financial analysis and business management operations.

  • Excellent oral, written communications and presentation skills.

  • Advanced analytical skills relating to market potential and sales performance and the ability to make related decisions that can significantly affect profitability. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives with a results oriented perspective.

  • Ability to negotiate with national regional and dealership management to achieve improved operations and profitability. 

  • Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.

  • Prior experience managing the work of others required with a proven ability to drive performance of others. Ability to influence the actions of others who may not be under direct control through relationship building skills.

Travel:
Approximately 25% to 50% day and overnight travel.

Salary Range:

$141,413.00 - $238,874.00
